Don't worry, the title of this post isn't to say FLEUX is a limited time project. Well, it might be, but that's up to you to decide. :)
Before we release proper images and information about our watches and Kickstarter campaign, I thought I'd take the time to to explain how FLEUX is going to operate.
As a lifelong student of design, I'm constantly searching for inspiration from a variety of sources. But the one thing that's always been at the forefront of my need to find and design beautiful things, is the desire to create something timeless/classic - which is why I always look to the past as well as where things are going. However, this can lead me to have design A.D.D..
FLEUX primarily began as a creative outlet and as a way to have some fun while continuing my obsession with watches.
As a consequence of the sheer number of ideas I have and wanting to have some fun - each FLEUX model will produced in limited quantities.
The current collection (FLX001 and FLX002) will be individually numbered, up to 300 units each and that's it.
Will there ever be another FLX001 or FLX002?
No, you will never see either of these models (or future models) recreated in the exact same way. But yes, you will definitely see variations of the models being offered!
Why would I do this?
Some of you may see this as a smart marketing tactic and I wouldn't be telling you the truth if I said this didn't enter my mind as a brilliant model to follow. But FLEUX is a labour of love and creating some mega brand is/was never my goal.
As I stated earlier, I tend to have design A.D.D. - which means, I never want to be churning out the same designs over and over again. I have so many ideas and designs I'd love to create - running sales and managing inventory doesn't seem like fun.
Constantly changing things up keeps things interesting for me, but ultimately, I hope it keeps FLEUX fun and interesting for you.
