TLDR: All U.S. customers are now subject to a 145% tariff rate on our watches. If you choose to place an order, you will receive an email from us asking you to verify knowledge of the new tariff policy before shipment.
---
I'll be honest, I was really hoping to not have to write this. But this is the world we live in, and we all have to try our best and roll with the punches.
As I'm sure all of you are aware, the new administration in the United States has imposed tariffs on all goods from China. Our watches used to ship tariff free under the de minimus rule, but this exemption ended on May 2, 2025.
As a result, all orders to the US will be subject to a tariff rate of ~145%. This tariff is not charged to Fleux — it is charged directly to U.S. importers (in other words, our customers).
You may be wondering why a watch that ships from Canada is subject to this tariff. Simply put, tariffs are applied baed on the country of origin, not the country from which the item shipped..
Our watches are made of components manufactured in China and Japan, with 95% of final assembly in Hong Kong - which, under U.S. customs rules (2020) is now considered China. (Most other developed nations continue to treat Hong Kong as a separate customs territory.)
With that in mind, moving forward, any orders with a U.S. shipping address will receive an email from Fleux asking you to verify knowledge of the tariff rate before we process your shipment.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@fleuxwatches.com.
Let's all hope this doesn't last forever.
Thanks for reading.
